Les stars de la télé soutiennent les populations d'Haïti avec l'Association Zégué Zen : Sébastien Cauet, Harry Roselmack, Sandrine Quétier, Kamel Ouali, Anthony Kavanagh et Ophélie Winter se mobilisent pour l'envoi d'un conteneur transportant de la nourriture, de l'eau, des produits d'hygiène, des draps, des lits de camps, des tentes, et aussi des fournitures scolaires.
L’association a pour objet de développer un concept « Zégué zen » qui vise, à travers la musique, le théâtre, le spectacle, la danse, le sport, le jeu, le langage… à décompresser le mental des jeunes et des adultes, à emmener un nouvel état d’esprit qui conduit à rester positif quelles que soient les situations négatives qui se présentent, à être armé mentalement face aux oppressions, à se sentir concerné par toute catastrophe (naturelle ou d’origine humaine) et à y réagir. Ainsi, sachant qu’adopter la « Zégué zen attitude », c’est aussi aider son prochain, l'association vise à apporter une aide, aussi bien matérielle que morale, aux populations sinistrées par des catastrophes naturelles.

Tout commence dans la nuit du 16 au 17 août 2007 lorsque le cyclone Dean frappe la Martinique... Sensible aux conséquences de ce cataclysme sur son île natale, l’artiste Jim Derry, fondateur de l’association, lance une action de dons de matériels scolaires pour permettre aux enfants, malgré les conditions difficiles, de reprendre dignement le chemin de l’école. Avec ses partenaires, les magasins Champion, Huit à Huit, Euromarché et Carrefour, il débloque 70 000 € de fournitures scolaires pour les enfants des villes les plus sinistrées.
Six mois après, il est sollicité par la population martiniquaise pour de nouveau venir au secours des sinistrés qui, n’ayant reçu que 300 € d’aides de l’Etat, ont des difficultés à reprendre le cours d’une vie normale… Jim crée alors le 4 janvier 2008 l’association Zégué Zen qui vise, entre autres, à venir en aide aux populations sinistrées par des catastrophes naturelles. En août 2008, celle-ci organise des galas caritatifs en Martinique avec Mathieu Edward et Bertrand Agot, finalistes de la Star ac'7 (tous deux originaires de l’île) pour les familles n'ayant toujours pas récupéré de toit un an après le cyclone Dean.
De même, après les cyclones Fay, Gustav, Hanna et Ike qui frappent Haïti en septembre 2008, l’association Zégué Zen se mobilise et en collaboration avec la Délégation départementale de la Croix Rouge en Guyane qui livre une ambulance, fait partir du Havre en direction de Port au Prince un container comportant des vêtements, des jouets, des produits de premier soin, des denrées alimentaires ainsi que 8500 paires de lunettes... celles-ci sont alors distribuées aux plus démunis lors de journées portes ouvertes avec des ophtalmologues mises en place par la Croix Rouge Haïtienne.
Mais le champ d’action de l’association Zégué zen ne se limite pas aux Antilles… Lorsque le 6 avril 2009, un violent séisme s’abat sur l’Italie, elle décide d’intervenir et organise le 27 juin un spectacle caritatif au profit des sinistrés d’Abruzzo avec Mickels Réa, le gagnant de la dernière Star ac’ d’origine italienne, mais aussi Solène (finaliste de la Star ac’8), Bertrand Agot (Mr Bisou de la promo 2007), ainsi que le groupe Fantastik Armada (champions de France et vice-champions du monde de danse hip hop)… Les fonds collectés sont alors reversés à l’association Arezzo Nel Cuore créée par le célèbre pilote automobile italien de Formule 1 Jarno Trulli afin de tenter de reloger certaines victimes et reconstruire l’Université d’Aquila détruite par le tremblement de terre…
Enfin, bien entendu, lorsque le 12 janvier 2010, le violent tremblement de terre frappe Haïti, l’association Zégué zen intervient et multiplie ses actions de solidarités… Diverses collectes sont organisées avec les magasins Leclerc de Seine et Marne. En mars 2010, les chanteuses Jeane Manson et Cynthia Brown soutiennent Zégué zen en parrainant une vente de vêtements au profit d’Haïti organisée par le magasin de prêt-à-porter de luxe Marny Couture.
Par ailleurs, pour remplir sa mission qui est de venir en aide aux populations sinistrées par des catastrophes naturelles, l’association Zégué zen monte le concept de « Carnaval people solidaire » qu’elle inaugure en juin 2010 dans le cadre du Carnaval de Melun toujours au profit des victimes du tremblement de terre en Haïti. Elle présente alors en exclusivité le « As’Ball » : nouveau jeu sportif créé par le fondateur de l’association Jim Derry qui est un melting-pot entre le tennis, le volley, le basket, le hand, le ping-pong… (se joue à deux, quatre ou six sur un terrain un peu similaire à celui du tennis mais ici, pas de raquette, juste les mains, une paire de gants et une balle !) Moyennant une participation de 5 €, les citoyens de Melun se disputent des matchs de « As’Ball » contre les « célébrités » venues spécialement pour l’occasion : Francky Vincent, Franck Delay (comédien et chanteur des 2 be 3), Patrick Puydebat (comédien de la série Hélène et les garçons), Solène de la Star ac’, Cindy Santos de Nouvelle Star, Sébastien Agius (vainqueur de l’émission X Factor), Jean-Claude de Koh Lanta... Ces rencontres amicales sont arbitrées par Abel El Quandili (16 fois champions du monde de boxe) et Karim Ghajji (champion de France et vice-champion du monde de hip hop et de kick boxing). Les « people » participent ensuite au défilé carnavalesque avant de se produire sur scène, accompagnés de Tex, Laam, Stomy Bugsy et son groupe la MC Malcriado… Pendant le spectacle, le clip de Trace TV « Un geste pour Haïti » (sur lequel 80 artistes connus ont chanté et qui a été diffusé sur TF1 pendant des semaines) est projeté sur écran géant afin de sensibiliser le public à se mobiliser pour Haïti.
Aujourd'hui, un an après la terrible catastrophe, l'aide à la reconstruction en Haïti peine à trouver un écho satisfaisant auprès des organisations internationales. Or, les populations haïtiennes ont besoin plus que jamais de soutien. Bon nombre d’entre elles se trouvent toujours confrontées à dormir à même le sol, sans abris, ni conditions sanitaires adéquates, sans parler de la saison des pluies qui approche à grands pas… Face à la gravité de la situation à laquelle s’est ajoutée le développement des épidémies (notamment du choléra), l’Association des amis des produits locaux d’Haïti reconnue par le ministère des affaires sociales et du travail d’Haïti (MAST), en partenariat avec deux autres ONG crédibles du pays (Action Missionnaire Globale d’Haïti reconnue par le ministère de la planification et la Fondation Chrétienne pour le Développement d’Haïti reconnue par le ministère du plan) ont lancé un appel à l’aide à l’association Zégué zen pour venir au secours de familles répertoriées sur Port-au-Prince et Léogâne n’ayant pas ou très peu bénéficié de l’aide international.
Denrées alimentaires, produits d'hygiène, vêtements, matelas... doivent donc être acheminés par l'association Zégué zen qui, de nouveau, multiplie les actions afin de récolter les fonds nécessaires à l'envoi de son conteneur.
De nombreuses personnalités telles que Sébastien Cauet, Harry Roselmack, Sandrine Quétier, Kamel Ouali, Anthony Kavanagh et Ophélie Winter se mobilisent autour de l’association Zégué zen et participent à un spot vidéo destiné à sensibiliser et obtenir un maximum de dons.
L'association vend également des Tee-shirts "Zégué zen" pour seulement 5 €. Enfin, elle participe à l'opération "A 100 % pour les associations" organisée par la Fédération du Crédit Mutuel d'Ile-de-France qui a mis en place une grande tombola afin de favoriser les projets associatifs.
Pour un ticket acheté 1,50 €, les participants peuvent gagner un cabriolet Renault Wind, une Berline Twingo 2 ou encore des ordinateurs portables, téléphones portables, vélos électriques, lecteurs mp4, appareils photo numériques... Les tirages au sort ont eu lieu sous le contrôle d'un huissier de justice les 31 mars et 7 avril 2011 derniers.
Enfin, face à l’effroyable catastrophe naturelle qui vient de s’abattre au Japon, l’association Zégué zen reste à l’écoute de tout projet qui pourrait venir en aide à la population japonaise…
Pour fêter ses 30 ans, la Fête à Neuneu sera marquée cette année par une soirée de lancement inoubliable le vendredi 30 aout 2013 ! Au programme : un spectacle exceptionnel des meilleurs talents de l’émission The Voice mais aussi 70 attractions pour faire le plein de sensation forte et de distraction avant la rentrée scolaire…Tout cela en faisant une bonne action car les recettes de cette soirée seront entièrement reversées aux associations caritatives 2 Mains Rouges et Zégué zen !
L’association 2 Mains Rouges a pour objet, à travers notamment la vente de Tee-shirts portant l’emprunte des mains de personnalités, de récolter des fonds destinés à aider des associations à but humanitaire… Aussi, étant donné les importantes inondations qui ont secoué la France et le monde cette année, 2 Mains Rouges a décidé de reverser une partie des bénéfices de cette soirée à l’Association Zégué zen qui vise, entre autres, à apporter une aide, aussi bien matérielle que morale, aux populations sinistrées par des catastrophes d'origine naturelle.
